Ripple SDG17: Young Changemakers and Strong Partnerships Create Lasting Impact
Change often begins with a single act, but it grows stronger when powered by partnerships. The recent RippleSDG17 tree plantation drive at Baner–Mahalunge Hills, Pune proved how collective effort, shared vision, and cross-generational leadership can create a tangible difference for the planet.
The initiative was conceptualized and managed by RippleSDG17 Founder, Pratham Gaurav Tewari, from Singapore, with a clear objective — align community action with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 17 – Partnerships for the Goals. His leadership ensured seamless coordination between stakeholders, resources, and on-ground execution.
Youth at the Forefront
One of the most powerful moments of the day came from 7-year-old Idhant Tiwari, a 2nd Grade student from GIIS Balewadi, who took part as a Young Changemaker. With his enthusiasm and commitment, Idhant showed that leadership is not defined by age but by action. His active involvement reminded all present that the next generation is not just the beneficiary of sustainable change—they are its co-creators.
